Adding The V to the 2026 Cadillac Optiq

The letter “V” has resonance at Cadillac, as it’s reserved for vehicles capable of delivering extraordinary performance. While once reserved for our high-performance sedans and coupes, V-spec models can now be found throughout our entire lineup, including our crossovers, SUVs, and electric vehicles – and that now includes the 2026 Optiq-V electric crossover.
The Optiq-V stands apart from its siblings thanks to several unique appearance features. V-badging appears on the front and rear fascias, along with the standard 21-inch alloy wheels. Those unique wheels also frame the standard Brembo brake calipers, which are painted in a distinctive blue hue. For additional flair, select exterior elements, including the rear splitter trim, can be ordered in a carbon fiber finish.

The V badges continue inside. The steering wheel hub has it. The seats, as well. You can also add the Santorini Blue Accent Package to give your 2026 Optiq-V a bit of flair and personality.
Once you enter the cockpit, you’ll be presented with the immersive 33-inch Horizon display. This serves as a hub for information, engagement, and entertainment. Passengers are also immersed in rich sound, thanks to a standard 19-speaker AKG Studio audio system. Meanwhile, drivers are also presented with a head-up display, which makes critical information visible while keeping eyes focused on the road ahead.
As those omnipresent V-badges signify performance, let’s talk about what’s under the Optiq-V’s skin. A dual-motor all-wheel drive electric drivetrain is standard, offering up to 519 horsepower and 650 pound-feet of torque. Select Velocity Max mode, and that’s enough power to move the Optiq-V from 0-60 mph in a stunning (and near-silent) 3.5 seconds. Power is sourced from an 85-kWh battery, which provides up to 278 miles of range on a full charge. Charging is accomplished through an NACS port at a rate of up to 150 kilowatts, allowing you to recoup 81 miles of range in 10 minutes when using a compatible DC fast charging station.

While you would want to take a 2026 Optiq-V on some twisty roads in the Sierras, you can also opt for a more sedate, luxurious pace. That is why the Optiq-V is equipped with the Super Cruise driver-assist technology standard. If the highway gets a bit too long, set the Super Cruise and take your hands off the wheel, while keeping your eyes on the road.
While it is a performance electric vehicle, the 2026 Optiq-V is also a practical SUV. Not only is there seating for up to five passengers, but there’s also 26 cubic feet of stroage available behind the second seat. For larger items, that rear seat can be folded flat, providing more than double the cargo space.
Given everything, the 2026 Optiq-V lives up to its badge. It delivers exciting, canyon carving performance without using a drop of oil. It could be your next best performance SUV.
