Cadillac Commemorates its Formula 1 Debut with Limited CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series

For 2026, Cadillac entered the world’s most prestigious racing series, Formula 1. The Miami Grand Prix on May 3rd marked Cadillac’s first Formula 1 race.  In celebration, Cadillac unveiled the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series, a very limited high-performance range-topping model of the already extraordinary CT5 luxury sports sedan.  Michael Hohl Cadillac gives you the details about this very special model.  

How limited is “very limited”? Just 26 models of this special model will be built to commemorate Cadillac’s entry into the F1 grid in 2026, each representing the absolute pinnacle of Cadillac’s V-Series performance lineup. The CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series starts with the CT5-V Blackwing’s supercharged 6.2-liter V8 and, with help from Cadillac Motorsports, upgrades the supercharger to produce 685 horsepower and 673 lb-ft of torque. That makes this the most powerful Blackwing model ever offered. The engine is paired exclusively with a 6-speed transmission to keep you fully engaged with all that power. It also includes the Blackwing’s optional Precision Package, so the power is matched by the chassis. With 70% stiffer spring rates in the front and 60% stiffer in the rear, carbon-ceramic brakes, the ability for the driver to dial up a track-spec negative camber, Magna Ride adaptive dampers, an electronic limited-slip differential, and other steering and chassis adjustments.

From the outside, the F1 Collector Series makes its presence known with: 

• Carbon Flash Metallic wheels 

• Harbor Gray Metallic brake calipers 

• Carbon fiber lower bodywork highlighted by a Switchblade Silver pinstripe 

• Gloss black exterior badging and monochrome Cadillac crests

The sub-brand has done wonders for Cadillac’s internal combustion engine models and has now been applied to the brand’s impressive lineup of electric vehicles, including the newly introduced OPTIQ-V and LYRIQ-V.
